Why Volunteer?

Volunteering takes less time than you think and has a greater impact than you can imagine!  In fact, it is a vital component of your child's education.  Loaning your HEART and hands to our school benefits all students, faculty and staff.  Taking part in school events and projects is also a great way to CONNECT with other parents, teachers, and members of our community!

There are many FUN opportunities available throughout the year, so there's something for everyone.  Even in a world of busy schedules, you might find that volunteering actually fills YOUR bucket in a way that nothing else can!

I'm IN!  Now What?

1.  To learn about the many meaningful ways you can help and to customize your areas of interest,

click here ---> Volunteer Opportunities

2.  Complete your mandatory annual RISD background check by clicking this link ---> RISD Voly Background Check

*All Volunteers, including grandparents, MUST complete a background check before volunteering at ACM/all RISD buildings. This includes any chaperones for field trips, lunch help, room helpers, etc.  A background check is required by the district and the application process is simple.

3.  Please remember to log your hours:) It's quick, easy, and is an important step for us to keep records of your efforts for our school, and across the district.  Bookmark this link for easy access ---> Record Volunteer Hours

 Next Up!  How to get involved in the classroom!

Where is the party at?

Homeroom parents (HRP) are a vital part of school life here at ACM. It's also a great way to get to know other parents and your child's teacher better.

Primary volunteer duties of the HRP are to plan and carry out the 2 classroom parties for the year and serve as a point of contact for any help the teacher needs. The Winter party is held in December, and the Valentine's Day party is held in February. We appreciate your help!
