The Reflections theme for 2018-19 is “Heroes Around Me.”
This is your chance for your child to express who they are through one or more of the following:
As the child creates the entry, they should consider how it relates to the theme and should draft a short (1-2 sentence) “artist statement” on a separate sheet of paper that explains how the artwork relates to the theme.
Students in 4th through 6th grade are required to create a Reflections project for their class. The class due date is set by each teacher, so please consult your teacher for that information. For these students, entry of their project into the official school PTA Reflections contest is optional. If your child chooses to enter the contest, they must bring the completed entry form to school (along with their Reflections project, if the teacher has returned it to them) on Monday, October 15.
Students in K through 3rd grade are not required to create a Reflections project, but the PTA encourages them to enter the contest. If they choose to enter, they must bring their project and a completed entry form to school on Monday, October 15, and turn both items into their teacher.
A copy of the entry form and entry rules will be sent home in Tuesday folders. You can also find them here:
