Please join us for Multicultural Night 2026 on Thursday, April 16, from 6:00–7:30 p.m.

We are welcoming 14 ACM host families representing cultures and countries from around the world: Eritrean Cultures, Hmong, Indonesia, Greece, Scandinavian Countries, Kenya, China, South Korea, Poland, Hungary, India, Peru, Malaysia, New Orleans. With the goal of fostering cultural understanding through education and celebration, these families will have informational storyboards, crafts, musical instruments, food, games, and puzzles.

The Multicultural Night Planning Committee has arranged for performances from the Richardson High School Ballet Folklorico, Desi Student Union Dancers, Step Team, Desperados and AMA Taekwondo. Not only will they wow us with dances and demonstrations, but these troops will be at the event throughout the evening to host stations for student activities, sign autographs and take photos.

cultural shadow box projects

We are introducing a new element into this year's Multicultural Night Event! We would love to see your culture, a culture that you are interested in and/or learning about represented. Think of this project as a mini cultural table host. All students are invited to create a cultural shadow box for display at the event.

Donated shoe boxes or similarly sized Amazon boxes would be greatly appreciated to make sure that everyone who wants to participate is able. Send your donations with your student to the ACM front office.

Email Zackariah.schuster@risd.org for questions regarding your shadow box artwork.

Let's Make A Day of it!

Students may wear cultural dress to school on 4/16/2026 in celebration and anticipation of this amazing evening hosted by the ACM PTA.
